Website & waitlist privacy
This page covers the yumu.app website and its waitlist. The Yumu iPhone app will ship with its own privacy policy, published here before launch.
What we collect when you join the waitlist
- Your email address — so we can tell you when Yumu launches.
- Your answer to “What would help most?”, if you pick one — so we know what to build and write about first.
- How you found us — the referring page, any campaign tags in the link (utm), and the share code if a friend sent you.
- Basic technical data — your country (derived by our host from your connection), your browser’s user-agent, and a one-way salted hash of your IP address that we use only to block spam sign-ups. We do not store your raw IP address.
What we do with it
We use your email to send launch news and occasional product updates about Yumu. We don’t sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers. You can unsubscribe from any email we send, or ask us to delete your entry at any time.
Where it’s stored
The website and waitlist run on Cloudflare (Pages and D1). Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf. The site doesn’t use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies. To keep bots off the waitlist, the sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser without tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist entry until Yumu launches and for as long as you stay subscribed to updates afterward. Ask us to delete it and we will.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email hello@yumu.app from the address you signed up with and we’ll handle it within 30 days.
Children
The waitlist is not intended for anyone under 16.
Changes
If this page changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above.
